There’s a map, well-known in geek circles, that shows “where” we all live online. Recognising that our physical geography isn’t quite as relevant as it once was, it lists our homes on the web.
Drawn by Randall Munroe of web cartoon XKCD, the original was done in 2007 and, looking at it now, it looks so quaint. MySpace was the behemoth, AOL still had some relevance and Twitter didn’t even appear.
Three years is a lifetime in Internet years and Randall’s re-drawn the map. How times have changed.

What I find interesting/scary/whatever suits the mood is the size of Farmville: it’s got more users than Skype! Well-placed expletives wouldn’t begin to demonstrate my shock and surprise.
