The science of comic book grammar

Who would have thought comic book lettering and grammar were so complicated! Thankfully Nate Piekos has come to the rescue.

As Piekos puts it in the introduction: “Comic book lettering has some grammatical and aesthetic traditions that are quite unique.” Darn tooting it does.

It doesn’t matter whether you last read a comic book last week or 20 years ago; these rules will all resonate with you, we just didn’t realise there were rules at the time.
