Blast from the past: “Life on Trumpton”

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

I don’t know why but this video came to mind, so I had to find it on the wonder that is YouTube and, of course, share it.

The Dark Knight: A short review

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

Go see it. Now.

Slightly extended version: yes, Heath Ledger is *very* good. Best Supporting Actor Oscar? A step a too far perhaps. Anyway, stop reading this and get your backside down to the pictures.

Test drive a turban

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

You know what it’s like; you can’t decide whether a turban is for you or not. And you don’t want to go to the time and expense if, frankly, you’re going to look a fool.

When I grow up, I want to be…

Monday, August 4th, 2008

For reasons I can’t explain, the scene from “High Fidelity” when Laura asks Rob what job he would do if reason, talent and time were no barriers (I can’t remember the exact way it’s phrased, apologies to Nick Hornby afficionados).
